Do I have to pay for my policy in one lump sum?
No. You can choose to pay for your policy by monthly instalments to spread the cost of your premium.
Am I covered for business use?
Yes, your Commercial Vehicle policy covers you for carriage of your own goods in connection with your business or profession.
Do you insure imported or modified vehicles?
No. However if you would like to contact our parent company, Commercial Vehicle Direct on 0845 683 0690, our specialist team may be able to offer a quotation.
What optional extras can I add to my policy?
Breakdown Cover (including Homestart & European Breakdown Cover), Legal Expenses up to £100,000, Keeping you on the Move cover, Personal Accident, Key Cover and GAP Protection.
What levels of cover do you offer?
We offer fully comprehensive, third party fire and theft and third party only cover.
Can I renew my policy online?
You can renew your van policy by calling 0845 683 0741 and speaking to a dedicated agent.
Is there a limit to the size of van you can insure?
We insure vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
Can I get a quote without the vehicle registration number?
Yes you can get a quote without your registration number however this will be required if you choose to purchase the policy.
What is NCD?
No Claims Discount (NCD), also referred to as No Claims Bonus, is a discount given to drivers who have not claimed on their van insurance policy for a set period. Each year the driver does not make a claim they are rewarded with another years NCD which equates to a larger discount at policy renewal.
Can I view or change my policy online?
Any changes to an existing policy will be dealt with by our customer services team. Please call 0845 683 0741 to make a change.
Can I get instant cover?
New policies can be purchased online and cover can be arranged to start the same day.
Can I temporarily add a driver?
Yes. You will need to contact our customer services team on 0845 683 0750 who can arrange this temporary cover for you.
Is it safe to pay for my policy over the internet?
We use Worldpay which is a totally secure online payment function.
How do I retrieve a quote?
On the YouChooseinsurance.co.uk website homepage there is the option to 'retrieve a quote'.
